Overview
FOR USE ON PONIES AND HORSES: To Prevent Horse Botfly Eggs from Hatching: At the first evidence of visible eggs, spray any contaminated regions immediately, paying special attention to the topline, neck, flanks, shoulders, and legs. Spray until the surface is moist, but not so much that the spray runs off. Spray animals every 3-5 days throughout the botfly season for a high level of botfly egg control. For Flies: Brush the extra dust and dirt off the coat.  Spray directly onto the horse's coat, focusing on the topline, neck, flanks, shoulders, and legs. To treat the face, wet a towel with spray and apply to the face and head, avoiding the eyes. Repeat every two months to keep fly infestations at bay. Vet-Kem Flea, Tick, And Bot Spray can be used weekly if your pony or horse becomes reinfested. This product should not be used on horses that will be slaughtered for food. FOR USE ON KITTENS AND PUPPIES: For Fleas: Wrap kittens and puppies weighing less than 3 pounds in a towel gently sprayed with Vet-Kem Flea, Tick And Bot Spray for 5 to 10 minutes, leaving the mouth, nose, and eyes exposed, or lightly spray a cotton ball or brush and rub well into the hair coat. The fleas can then be combed or picked out of the coat. Kittens and pups weighing more than 3 pounds should be handled similarly to cats and dogs. Repeat every two months to prevent flea infestations in your house. Vet-Kem Flea, Tick And Bot Spray can be used regularly if your pet becomes reinfested with adult fleas from outside sources. Do not let the animal grow cold. Never use on kittens and pups under the age of 12 weeks. FOR USE ON CATS AND DOGS: For Fleas: Effective flea management requires even, light coating of the hair coat. Allow no wet animal or application spray to get into touch with painted or finished surfaces, such as vinyl or leather goods, wood furniture or flooring, or other potentially hazardous surfaces. Ruffle the coat while spraying against the natural lay of the hair for optimal effects. Hand over the eyes of the animal. Spray the chest, ears, and head with a rapid, strong stroke. Rub the cloth around the eyes, nose, and mouth. Spray the neck, midsection, and hindquarters next, followed by the legs and tail. Genitals and rectum should not be sprayed. 1 or 2 squeezes of the trigger sprayer per pound of body weight is recommended. Spray bigger dogs until moist, but not saturated. Prevent  animals, particularly cats, from becoming cold.  Repeat every two months to prevent flea infestations in your house. Vet-Kem Flea, Tick And Bot Spray can be used regularly if your pet becomes reinfested with adult fleas from outside sources. For Ticks: Use the spray to soak each individual tick. Shake well prior to use. Using this product in a way that contradicts its labeling is illegal under federal law.
