Pimobendan is an inodilator medication often prescribed by veterinarians to help support heart function in cats, dogs, and other animals. By improving cardiac output and aiding blood vessel dilation, it plays an important role in managing certain heart conditions when used under proper veterinary supervision.

What are the side effects of Pimobendan Compounded Quad Tablet?
Be sure to discuss any side effects your pet experiences when taking pimobendan with your veterinarian immediately. Known side effects include loss of appetite, low energy, diarrhea, and difficulty breathing. Less common side effects include change in kidney function, weakness and balance issues, fluid accumulation in the lungs or abdomen, cough, and changes in heart rhythm. Topical preparations containing pimobendan (such as transdermal gels, ointments, creams, etc.) may also cause irritation at the site of application.
What special precautions are there?
Keep pimobendan and all drugs out of reach of children and pets. Pimobendan is a prescription drug and should be used according to your veterinarian's directions, and it should only be given to the animal for which it was prescribed. Do not give this medication to a person. Pimobendan should not be given to animals that are allergic to it, or drugs like it. Pimobendan should be used with caution in animals with certain cardiac diseases or conditions such as aortic stenosis, uncontrolled arrhythmias, or functional or structural heart defects.
What to do if overdose?
Overdose of pimobendan may cause more severe reactions similar to those listed previously in the side effects section. If you suspect your pet or another animal was accidentally overdosed or has eaten this medication inadvertently, contact your veterinarian or the A.S.P.C.A.'s Animal Poison Control Center at 888.426.4435. Always bring the prescription container with you when you take your pet for treatment. If you or someone else has accidentally ingested this medication call the National Capital Poison Center at 800.222.1222.

Each tab contains: Pimobendan USP 5mg. Lactose monohydrate NF 50.35mg. Microcrystalline cellulose USP-NF 27mg. Sodium starch glycolate NF 4.5mg. Sodium stearyl fuomarate NF 1.8mg, and CAB-O-SIL M5P 1.35mg. 

Each tab contains: Pimobendan USP 10mg. Lactose monohydrate NF 128.4mg. Microcrystalline cellulose USP-NF 67.5mg. Sodium starch glycolate NF 11.25mg. Sodium stearyl fumarate NF 4.5mg, and CAB-O-SIL M5P 3.38mg.
